How to Eliminate Dog Urine Odor
- 1). Soak up fresh dog urine with paper towels. For dog urine that has already dried, search for urine stains with a black light.
- 2). Combine 1 cup vinegar with 3 cups water.
- 3). Pour the solution into a spray bottle. Spray the dog urine area.
- 4). Sprinkle baking soda over the vinegar solution. Allow it to set for 10 minutes.
- 5). Scrub the area with a sponge. The vinegar and baking soda form a paste that eliminates the odor.
- 6). Vacuum or rinse the baking soda paste away. If you are vacuuming the area, allow the paste to dry to make it easier to vacuum. Use a mop with warm water to rinse the solution off of hard surfaces.
