Hi, I'm Laura Parker, owner of Stones of Change in Wilmington, North Carolina, and I'm here to talk to you today about the healing qualities of sardonyx. What you'll need is to find yourself a reputable holistic practitioner. Sardonyx is from the quartz family, okay? And, it's a combination rock, and it's not actually a sardonyx, it's sard is a form of quartz, which is a reddish orange color, maybe with a little brown in it. And then, you have onyx, which is black. You will find this banded in quartz. So, a lot of people called it, call it, banded onyx, or banded quartz, or banded agate. And, it has layers of usually a brown, red, or yellow, and then they'll be a line of white which they say is ivory, but it really isn't ivory, it's just the white quartz. And, they call it a virtuous stone. So, people use it in healing, not so much healing but I guess as a benefit from this stone. They call it the stone of virtue. So, if you're having some issue, or you know someone who's having some issues with not being quite so virtuous, you may want to give them one of these stones. And, there again, they're from the quartz family, so they're very easy to find. You can find them in all different sorts of tumbled rocks. You can get slices of agate or sardonyx. And, since there are two or three different stones going on in one, you have the benefits of each one, which are all quartz, but the different colors add a different perspective to the healing quality. There again, you go back to your chakra chart, and if your slice of sardonyx is red and white and yellow, that would correspond with the red and the yellow chakras, if you're having an issue in that area. And, there again, they come in all different colors, you may find them in blue. They may come in a dull brown and white, and just different layers, and it all again depends on what you're attracted to, and what's going to work for you. So, I would choose that by what my eye goes to, and take it from there. And, those are some of the ways you could use sardonyx for healing.
