How to Unlock a T-Mobile Samsung T-629
- 1). Type *#06# to display the phone's IMEI number.
- 2). Contact your cellular carrier to obtain the lock code. Different carriers have different requirements for when they will provide lock codes. Generally, the account must be in good standing and active for a certain length of time. If your carrier will not give you the lock code, you can purchase the unlock code from an online cellular unlocking service.
- 3). Turn off the t629 and turn it over.
- 4). Locate the battery cover latch near the bottom of the device. Slide the latch toward the bottom edge, then lift off the cover using the finger holds on the sides. Remove the battery by lifting it from the bottom. Set the battery and battery cover aside.
- 5). Remove the SIM card and insert the SIM from another carrier. The gold contacts should face toward the phone, with the cut corner on the top left.
- 6). Re-install the battery and battery cover, then turn on the phone. The phone will show an "Invalid SIM Card Network Lock" message on the screen.
- 7). Press the left soft key under "Unlock" and press it again to click "Yes."
- 8). Type the unlock code and click the "Unlock" soft key.
- 9). Wait for the t629 to reboot. When it comes back on, the phone is unlocked.
