Back for an encore, Trilogy basketball packs one of the most powerful punches in the basketball card arena, bringing back to the parquet floor the same formula of unique autographed glass cards and superstar memorabilia cards that had the hobby buzzing last year.


I recently had a chance to rip through a sealed nine-pack hobby box and came away with some tantalizing results including an autographed glass card of Walt ?Clyde? Frazier, serial-numbered glass rookie cards of Gerald Green and Chris Paul (four in total), and memorabilia cards of Paul Pierce, Chris Webber and Lebron James (WOW!).

What I really like about Trilogy is its simplicity despite being touted as an insert per pack, super high-end product. You absolutely get what?s advertised on the package, which is one insert per pack. The inserts are unique and collectible and provide the hobbyist with a sense of accomplishment because they spent $30 on a pack of cards and came away with something, whether good or not so good, and not a pile of worthless base cards.

I must warn you, though ? sealed packs of Trilogy basketball will run you about $30 each, so this product is not for the novice collector or the occasional pack ripper.

All told, Trilogy basketball is the most high-end basketball product released to date.

It is easily the most entertaining basketball product to have been released thus far and it offers the most value per pack and ultimately per box of any 2005-06 basketball product released thus far. Hey ? even the empty box is collectible!
