How to Wrap Objects in Maya
- 1). Model an object you wish to use as the "wrap influence" object. This object will be used to deform your primary object. Use fewer points or CVs in your wrap influence object than you have in the primary object.
- 2). Hold the Shift key and select the object you wish to deform, then select your wrap influence object. Hover your mouse over "Deform" in the Animation Menu. Choose "Create Wrap" from the list.
- 3). Remove unwanted influence objects by selecting the wrap-deform points you wish to remove. Hold the Shift key and select the wrap influence objects you wish to remove. Under the Deform menu, Choose "Edit Influence" and "Remove Wrap."
