Twitter and Making Money - In 3 Simple Steps

Twitter is a great new social networking tool.
It is especially great for businesses or individuals looking at reaching thousands of new potential customers.
Twitter and making money is like Tiger Woods and golf, it just fits! Here are my tips on turning your Twitter account into a profitable business: 1.
Open a Twitter account and create a profile.
Make sure to include a nice happy photo of yourself or your business as well as a short and descriptive bio (be creative).
Next setup a snazzy background, there are lots of sites that have free custom ones or you can create your own.
Whatever you do don't just leave the default background there as you want to project to potential "customers" your willing to make an effort and are worth taking seriously! 2.
Now that's done you need to get yourself some followers so you can begin to get serious about Twitter and making money.
The best way to do this is using the find people option on Twitter (there is also Search Twitter and Twellow) Just type in a keyword for people who you think will be interested in following you.
Example if you're a keen golfer and you will be using your account to send the latest golf news & product information there's no point following people who are into rock metal and piercings! This is why you need to have a targeted audience who are more likely to follow your tweets and click on links you might send etc.
Don't fret for those of you like me who are lazy and don't have so much time to manually add followers there are products such as, Turbo Cash Generator which show you how to create a large targeted list of followers and do everything I'm discussing here on auto pilot (If you are serious about Twitter and making money, systems like these are a must).
3.
Now that you have a targeted list of followers you need to begin engaging them by sending regular tweets and being active.
Ask them questions, create conversations, find interesting articles and content on the web relating to your subject and post the links.
Retweet other peoples tweets (basically just cut another persons tweet and paste it into your own tweet, be sure to give them credit for it though!) Use blogs to find interesting conversations, post videos, news anything your followers might like and they will begin to look out for your tweets.
Be careful not to look like a spammer though, a good rule of thumb is no more than 2 tweets an hour.
That way you're remaining visible and active but it's not overkill! You see using Twitter and making money couldn't be easier.
Remember the most important thing to do is engage your followers by being active and tweeting great content! 95% of your content should be interesting articles, links, questions, conversations etc and no more than 5% should be sales related.
I know it doesn't sound like a lot but once you have your followers trust and attention they are more likely to click on your links and in turn buy anything you might be promoting.
