A haircut that is layered is designed in such a way that the top layer of the hair is shorter than the bottom layers.
This hairstyle gives the hair a blended, full appearance that is easy to manage as it is a style that is cut straight into the hair.
Women layer their hair so that they can add volume to it, frame the face or thin out unruly hair that gives a sort of wash and go look.
In order to get layered hair straight (how to layer hair), there are a few things you need to do.
First of all, buy professional hair cutting scissors as dull ones can lead to split ends or uneven layers.
Make sure to shampoo your hair thoroughly and condition it as well if you have thick hair.
Rinse your hair well and either partially dry it with a towel or leave it wet before beginning to cut it.
Comb or brush your hair to remove all the tangles using a fine toothed comb before you attempt to layer it and invert your head.
Now comb your hair straight down to the floor, and start to cut your hair straight across.
The shortest top layer is the one closest to the top of your head and the longest one will be the one at the bottom which will be at least thrice the length of the top layer.
A short hairstyle with a top layer that ends just below the eyes is a good option.
A layered cut on the long hair with the top layer lying just below the ear will be a good addition.
Now use two mirrors so that you can check the layers at the front and the side to see it from different perspectives.
A quick ponytail cut is another consideration you can make and put your hair in to a high ponytail right in the middle of your head and then cut it straight across.
