What Money Cannot Buy - What is the Value of Your Health?

The healing of ailments and diseases was happening a long time before Hippocrates, often referred to as 'The Father of Medicine', was born.
Ancient healers, known in some cultures as Shamans, would borrow from natural resources such as plants, herbal tinctures, fire, water, precious metals and other materials to help with healing.
Health was always regarded as something greater than anything money could buy.
Even today it is common for people who have all the money they could ever hope to spend, to have the most worries about their own health.
Their expenditure on either keeping well or regaining lost health is often greater than any other spending that they do over the course of their whole life.
Health is something we get when we are born and until we are taken away when we die it is the extremely important centre of our overall wellbeing and happiness, as we call it.
Without health we can hardly be happy.
People who have achieved everything and lost their health are actually poor and would often be willing to pay out all of their money in return for getting rid of bad health.
Even receiving an organ transplant cannot replicate the original.
The human body can only deal with it in a limited capacity.
It is a foreign organ or matter that originated in a different body.
It has a very different origin to the rest of the body.
Transplants these days can surely prolong the lives of some people.
Yet there is nothing comparable to the health of youth or the enjoyment of a healthy, well kept and well maintained body at any age.
