- In the cabin very small cats and dogs are accepted as well as service dogs.
- Kennel / carrier must allow pet to stand / lie down, and if in cabin, the pet must not leave the kennel / carrier at any time during the flight. A pet transported in cabin counts as carry on luggage.
- The airline suggests a consultation with a veterinarion regarding a product to prevent the animal from suffering air sickness or a negative reaction during the flight.
- Ensure documentation for your pet is current and complies with the regulations for your destination.
- Dogs and cats weighing more than 6 kg (to a maximum of 75 kg) must travel in the cargo hold.
- Prepare your pet with an appropriate size of kennel, food, materials, etc.
- Air France / KLM maintain a list of animals that are not permitted for travel at all with them - "So-called attack dogs which do not belong to a breed but are similar in physical appearance to the following breeds: Staffordshire terrier (pitbulls), Mastiff (Boerbulls) and Tosa."
