Stop Making This One Killer Mistake If You Ever Want to Put on Serious Muscle Mass
They try to isolate their muscles and use all sorts of machines to "hit their muscles from different angles.
" Isolating is great if you want pretty looking muscles.
But if you want to make serious gains in strength and mass, you must incorporate more compound exercises into your workout routine.
Things like the dead lift, the bench press and pull ups are all much more taxing on your system and when performed, release a flood of hormones and testosterone into your system.
Compound movements also ignite huge responses in the body to cause more muscular growth.
You need to spark this response and then give your body the proper amount of time and calories to rest and recover so it can properly build back the muscles so they're bigger and stronger.
If you continually perform lots of isolation type exercises and "attack the muscles from different angles" then you are sabotaging your success, plain and simple.
All you are doing is exhausting your muscle so it takes longer to recover from the workouts and you are also burning excessive amounts of calories so they don't have the necessary amounts to grow back larger.
Which brings me to my bonus tip: Eat More! It takes a lot of calories to get muscles to grow larger.
Your body would rather it didn't have all that excess muscle to take care of, so it won't grow any new muscle unless you have a nice surplus of calories lying around.
Eating more food than you normally do is essential when it comes to building new muscle mass.
