How to Make Mini Helmet Football Decals
- 1). Import or create the mini-helmet image into photo software. There are many images of football helmets that are available for public use and reproduction. Simply use the "advanced search" mechanism on your search engine to find those images. Or, you may create the football-helmet image yourself by drawing the outline of a football or uploading a photo you have taken of a helmet.
- 2). Select the coloring of the image in the photo-software program. Remember that many of these mini-football helmet decals are worn on a helmet of some color. Therefore the color of the decal must be visible. Also, try to stay within the color scheme of your team. For instance, if your team has colors of navy and white, with navy jerseys and white helmets, a navy sticker might be in order. If the situation is reversed, then a white sticker might be in order.
- 3). Resize the image. After you have completed the shape and color, you must shrink the image so its size is suitable for a football helmet. If your decal-printing paper has predetermined size boxes, then you will want to fit the image to that size. If not, you can choose your desired size. A decal between a half-inch square to an inch square will fit nicely on a helmet.
- 4). Load the decal paper into the printer. Follow the load instructions in accordance with how your printer operates (either decal-side up or down).
- 5). Print the sheet of mini-helmet football decals. Depending on your sizing, you can print between 12 and 24 helmets per sheet.
- 6). Perforate or cut the mini-helmet football decals so they are ready to be passed out to players and fans. Some photo-decal paper has perforation marks; others may need to be cut with scissors or a paper cutter for precision.
