Some places may be too cold, or go through cold seasons, and may need warming up.
If this is the case, you may need a central heating system.
Its primary purpose is to make a house or building warmer during cold temperatures.
It may not necessarily be at the center of the building.
It refers to the one station that provides heat for the whole building.
It is usually found on the lowest floor or basement of the house.
You can also customize it to work as a heating, air conditioning and ventilation system - all in one.
Heat distribution For the heat to be distributed, one has to produce it.
Heat production is done in one chamber, where a fuel e.

oil or gas is burnt up to produce heat.
Alternatively, the system may use the fuel to heat water, which the system uses to distribute and circulate the heat.
The system distributes the heat as: · Hot air - Ducts are made in circulation and connection all through the building.
This is where the hot air will pass through.
The air is in perfect circulation as the air that is hot rises.
It displaces the cold air and forces it to go back down where the fuel will heat up to go back up.
The system may use pressure to force the air around the building, thus increasing the heating effect.
· Hot water - Pipes running all round the building are responsible for distributing the heat.
Hot water passes through the pipes in circulation.
· Steam - Steam is far much effective that water in heat distribution.
Steam has more energy than water of the same temperature.
This is because, in converting water to steam, extra energy is used.
This explains why scalds from steam are far more dangerous than those from hot water are.
The system feds the steam into pipes that now distribute heat throughout the building.
A system may use electricity solely to keep the building warm but this is quite the expense.
The combustion of fuel happens in a closed room to save energy and be more efficient in heating.
A pump has to be installed to increase the pressure thus increasing the heating effect as well as allow proper circulation throughout the building.
The system also requires radiators on walls.
This is where the pipes or ducts pass through and release the heat to the various rooms of the house or building.
