Aging is a process everything and everyone goes through. From a fine wine, to an elegant older woman, there are many plus sides to aging. There are down sides as well. As with anything there are always two sides. Things and people that age gracefully are generally preferred by everyone.

Stay younger longer by staying as happy as possible. Stress is a direct factor in damage that is done to your body. By avoiding stress and doing things you love you will stay younger longer. Try taking up meditation and get out of the house and have fun.

Surround yourself with wonderful people. If you find that the people that you spend a majority of your time with are grouchy more often than they are happy, consider looking for a new group of friends to hang out with. Happiness is contagious and if you are surrounded by it, you are likely to be joyful as well.

Find and immerse yourself in hobbies and passions you enjoy. When you do things you enjoy, you feel a renewed sense of energy and this can propel you into doing more than you thought you could accomplish. Clearly, growing older doesn't always mean that you have to slow down.

Accept new challenges as they come, and know when to ask for help if a new circumstance, disability, or other challenge arises that you cannot face alone. To age brings troubles, sure, but with every trouble there is generally a plus side. For instance, your wine may have had to age for years before being enjoyed, which is troublesome because you have to wait for a long time to enjoy it. But when you do get to savor the experience of that wine aging, it is well worth it.
