- 1). Find a nonprofit organization that will accept your car. One way to locate a charity that accepts vehicles is to call United Way of New Hampshire at 2-1-1. Just dial 2-1-1, and a representative will direct you to the relevant organizations in your community.
- 2). Contact the nonprofit you wish to donate to. Many nonprofits, including Car Angel, will make arrangements to pick up or tow the car from wherever it may be--at no charge to you. Car Angel does not require that a car be operational.
- 3). Work with the New Hampshire nonprofit organization you selected to transfer the car's title. According to Car Angel, the nonprofit can take care of the DMV title registration and will work with donors in situations where the donated car is not in the donor's name.
