How to Make Chamomile and Sage Astringent

    • 1). Put 2 cups of fresh sage, 3 tbsp. of fresh mint and 1/2 oz. of dried chamomile on a cutting board and tap them lightly with the handle of a table knife to release their beneficial oils.

    • 2). Place the fresh herbs in a large glass jar and pour in 3/4 cup of witch hazel and 5 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar.

    • 3). Attach the lid securely and shake the bottle so that the herbs are coated with witch hazel and apple cider vinegar.

    • 4). Allow the herbs to to steep for 7 to 8 days, shaking the jar daily.

    • 5). Strain the chamomile and sage astringent, repeating several times if necessary, to remove the herbs. Store the astringent in an airtight container.

    • 6). Use your chamomile and sage astringent as you like to clean and tone your face.
