Hi, I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to do eye shadow for Asian eyes. I love Asian eyes, I love working with this eye shape and I want to show you how to enhance your eyes using eye shadow. We're going to begin by brushing a flush tone eye shadow over the base of Amanda's eyes. What I'm trying to do here is create a clean palette. This is an additional step that helps that eye shadow stay on longer and it also helps the colors that go over it to go on more smoothly. So once I've done that, I can then come in with my more dramatic colors. OK. Next I'm going to move on to the center of Amanda's eye. This area right here. And I'm starting at the outer edge and moving in because I want the most amount of color on the outer eye area. I'm going to repeat that on the other side as well. Again, I'm starting at the outer corner and moving in with that bronze shadow. And you can see that I'm using the brush in a blending motion. Now I'm going to take a little bit of that extra off the brush and I'm going to take a light peach sort of shimmery color and put some of that right at that center of the eye. I'm going to mix both of those colors. The lighter color that I put in the center and that darker bronze color would go back in. I'm going to add just a touch of that again. And I'm going to come back in with another color. A beautiful purple that I'm going to apply with a big fluffy brush to get most of the accent and the definition at the outer edge of Amanda's eye. Close. A brush likes this helps you lightly apply this color. It goes on very soft but it adds that little bit of drama at the edge of the eye and again, I'm blending it in. I'm not sweeping it out, I'm just bringing it in. And blending is a key component to doing eye shadow. Where there you have it. This is how to do makeup for Asian eyes.
