Things to Consider When Buying a Private Plane

If you've decided that you need to buy a private jet for your business or personal use then you need to be aware of several things before making a final decision.
In this article I'll talk about a few things that may affect whether you decide to buy a jet or take a different route to save money.
First of all if you don't think you'll be using the plane for around 400 hours of airtime a year then you should consider something called fractional ownership.
This is where you buy a percentage share of a particular plane from a company and then a certain amount for operation costs.
Whenever you need a jet you can contact the company and they will get one to you as soon as possible so you'll never be without a plane but don't have to pay the full cost of having one yourself.
If you don't want to use a fractional ownership company but don't have the money to buy a plane then you could also consider renting one.
A difficult part of buying a private jet is finding a pilot to fly it.
There aren't that many -pilots around at the moment so the ones you do find will demand quite a high wage.
This needs to be factored into your costs when you decide on whether to buy a private jet or not as it will add up to a considerable amount.
While a used jet may be cheaper it may actually require a lot of money to do up to be compliant to your local aviation regulations.
Make sure you find out how much doing so would cost before you buy a second hand jet otherwise you may have to pay a lot of unexpected money just to get it in the air.
