A lot of people want a flat stomach.
Exercise and diet is the right way to achieve this.
This article discusses how to exercise properly for a flat stomach.
First, it's important to know that most people go about doing this the wrong way.
Some people go ahead and purchase ab-belts, ab-rockers, and other gadgets that don't work.
Other people take pills in order to remove belly fat and get a flat stomach.
Exercise and proper diet, however, is all you need.
You should not be following a ridiculous fad diet, or performing long, boring cardio routines.
You should not be doing hundreds of crunches and situps either.
I repeat, for a flat stomach - exercise properly and eat the right foods.
A lot of people who want a flat stomach, exercise in the gym 3-4 times a week for an hour at a stretch.
According to Mike Geary, an expert on flat stomach exerciseand diet routines, this is not the best way to get a flat stomach.
In fact, with the exercises below, you are much more likely to reach your goal of a flat stomach.
The cool thing is that you will be exercising only 2-3 minutes at a time, 6-8 times a day, 5 days a week.
If you work in an office, you might want to make it a routine to exercise for 2 minutes every hour during your 9-5 job.
For example, you may decide to exercise at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
The following are good exercises to include in your flat-stomach exercise routine:
  • bodyweight squats
  • floor abs exercises such as lying leg thrusts, ab bicycles, etc.
  • pushups
  • forward, reverse, or walking lunges
  • one-legged bodyweight Romanian deadlifts
  • floor planks (holding plank position from forearms and feet)
  • up & down a staircase if one is available
If you are sharing an office with other people, this will require some thought.
You might want to stick to exercises that don't require you to get down to the floor such as squats, lunges and pushups.
You don't need to do every flat-stomach exercise every time.
Just do a few of them and vary your routine.
As time goes by you can progress to more difficult versions of each exercise to strengthen your muscles even more, such asclose grip pushups or one leg raised pushups.
One important thing to keep in mind is that these exercises are not enough to make your stomach flat.
You will also need to eat the right foods.
There are foods that are being promoted as health foods, but they actually cause your body to hold on to excess belly fat.
So remember, in order to get a flat stomach - exercise properly and eat the right foods.
This guarantees that you will get your flat stomach as soon as possible.
