The Pioneer DVR-450H-S DVD Recorder works much like other DVD recorders and can play back recorded DVDs and audio CDs at your convenience. You can use the device to record items playing on your television via cable, a VCR or a game console. It may be illegal to reproduce recorded TV in some areas, so check your local laws before recording or distributing content if you do not own the rights. - The DVD recorder comes with a remote control that uses two AA batteries.
- DVD-R and DVD-RW files play in the system. The recorder can play any DVDs recorded under ISO 9600, UDF 1.02, UDF 1.50, UDF 2.00 or UDF 2.01 systems. It cannot read CPRM information on a disc. Windows Media and DivX files play on the device as long as they have a .wma, .avi or .divx extension.
- Ten main sets of connectors make up the back panel of the 450 H-S. There is one Antenna (RF) In and one Antenna Out connector for connecting the device to the television. There are three inputs and two outputs for stereo analog audio, video and S-video. There is a component video output, a control In and an AC In power outlet.
