• Compact and lightweight, the LG VX-4650 measures 3.8 inches long, 1.9 inches wide and 0.9 inches deep and weighs 3.7 oz., making it conveniently portable. Its super-twisted nematic screen displays more than 65,000 colors at 128 by 128 pixels of resolution, while its secondary exterior grayscale screen displays at 96 by 96 pixels of resolution. The phone's numeric keypad is situated on the inside of the phone's clam-like flip mechanism.
  
  

Battery Life

• A standard lithium-ion battery, when fully charged, provides the LG VX-4650 with up to 3.2 hours of talk time and 190 hours, or 7.9 days, of standby time. These times, when compared to similar phones on the market at the time of publication, rank well below the seven-hour average for talk time and the 448-hour average for standby time. Since the phone is an older model, you will likely get even shorter amounts of talk and standby time if it's still equipped with the original battery. Several factors can have a negative impact on the phone's battery life, such as the phone's settings, atmospheric conditions and network traffic.
  
  

Memory and Connectivity

• The LG VX-4650 comes with very little memory and, unlike newer cellphones, is not equipped with a card slot for expanded memory. With the memory it does have, the phone supports up to 500 contacts with multiple phone numbers and ringer ID. Ringer ID allows you to assign a custom or stock ringtone to each contact, which sounds whenever that person calls. The VX-4650 connects to the 2G wireless network, which was designed to handle voice and text data. For transferring files and synchronizing data, the phone connects to a personal computer through a USB cable.
  
  

Miscellaneous

• The LG VX-4650 supports text messages only and features a built-in speaker phone. You can place calls using the phone's voice dialing feature, which is ideal if the phone is used while driving or while on the computer. The phone's pre-loaded applications include a calendar, alarm clock, calculator and note pad. The phone's numeric keypad is the mode through which text messages are typed using standard or T9 predictive text input. For the deaf or hearing impaired, the phone is compatible with Text Telephone, or TTY/TDD, calling.
