How to Give a Deep Conditioner Using Coconut Oil
- 1). Fill the applicator bottle with ¼ a cup of coconut oil and screw the cap on tightly. Wash your hair and towel dry it thoroughly.
- 2). Starting at your forehead, apply the applicator tip to your scalp and squeeze out oil moving back over your head and down to the nape of your neck. Repeat this step two inches to the left of where you initially started and continue working down the side of your head running the applicator from the front to the back.
- 3). Work the applicator down the other side of your head as you did with the first side. Comb through hair with a fine-toothed comb to spread out the oil and then massage your scalp gently for one minute. Throw a plastic shower cap over your hair.
- 4). Let oil sit for 30 minutes, then rinse hair. Do not condition; instead, use a light detangling spray to get out any tangles.
