How to Clean Orthopedic Inserts
- 1). Remove the orthopedic inserts from the shoes, and give them a shake to remove any loose dirt and debris. Removing loose dirt will help simplify the cleaning process.
- 2). Fill your kitchen sink with a few inches of water. Add a few squirts of dish soap and a capful of white vinegar. Agitate the soapy water with your hands to create some suds.
- 3). Place the orthopedic inserts in the soapy water and massage the inserts by hand to remove dirt. You can also use a sponge to help remove any staining, if necessary.
- 4). Rinse the orthopedic inserts with a cool water. Remove as much excess water from the orthopedic inserts as possible. This can be accomplished by squeezing or gently wringing them out.
- 5). Lay the orthopedic inserts on a soft towel and allow them to air dry before putting them back in your shoes.
