How to Prepare an 8-in-1 Shot
- 1). Open the package containing the 8-in-1 vaccine. The kit contains two vials, one being smaller than the other, and a skinny syringe for administering the vaccine. Place the syringe to the side and select the smaller of the two vials.
- 2). Remove the cap from the larger suction syringe and puncture the top of the smaller vial with it. Pull on the back of the plunger and remove as much of the yellowish-colored fluid as you can.
- 3). Inject the contents of the suction syringe into the larger vial containing the clear fluid. This mixes the two fluids together to create the complete vaccine. It is mixed like this because of the length of time given for the vaccine mixture to remain active.
- 4). Shake the large vial containing the mixture of vaccine for a minute to thoroughly blend it.
- 5). Discard the large syringe and select the smaller syringe that came with the kit to poke into the top of the larger vial and suck up the vaccine. This vial is ready for immediate administering.
