How to Troubleshoot Horizontal Lines on an LCD TV
- 1). Move electrical appliances to another room or outlet. Power tools, fluorescent lights, hair dryers and microwaves are a few examples of electronics that could interfere with your TV's signal reception.
- 2). Move the TV away from large windows where the sound of motorcycle engines and car ignitions are heard.
- 3). Set your DVD player, if connected to the TV's Component DVD Video/Audio input, is set to the Interlaced Mode for a smoother video conversion display on the TV. Please refer to your DVD player's user manual for how to turn on that mode.
- 4). Verify that the automatic tracking feature on your VCR is working, if a VCR is connected to your TV. Press the tracking control button. Please refer to your VCR user's manual for the tracking feature details that pertain to your particular device.
- 5). Tighten all external device cable connections to the TV and check that the antenna connection is secure.
