The Impacts of Volatile Organic Compounds in Industrial Cleaners

Business owners and consumers alike are often under the assumption that the only form of pollution harming our planet is being done by automobiles or massive corporations.
The reality of the build up of pollution which we are currently facing is actually much different, however.
Small everyday actions by consumers living in excess and using harmful chemicals containing volatile organic compounds, often found in solvents and degreasers, are having a considerable impact on the steady deterioration of our environment.
This misconception is perpetuating the idea that there is nothing for individuals to do in order to prevent pollution.
Not only is the use of volatile organic compounds unnecessarily harsh on the environment through pollution, but they also extremely dangerous to human health as well.
Breathing in fumes from volatile organic compounds can immediately cause headaches, nausea, and other symptoms.
Using VOC's over time can contribute to long term health problems, which puts many average consumers and employees at risk if they are not using environmentally friendly organic solvents.
These effects are felt not only directly by us, but they will impact the quality of life given to the future generations ahead of us.
By consumers beginning to realize the risks involved with the habitual use of VOC laden chemical solvents, environmentally friendly and non toxic organic solvents are becoming more prevalent among homes.
The same effect is taking place among businesses as well, and the switch to organic industrial degreasers is preventing further pollution on a massive scale.
Employees of companies using organic industrial degreasers are able to spend more time focusing on their work instead of having to follow procedures in order to avoid inhalation of noxious chemicals and getting them on their skin.
The majority of these organic solvents were created after the passing of the Clean Air Act Amendments in 1990.
In order to reduce the use of VOC's in solvents, ingredients like food grade oil are being used to make solvents and degreasers.
These ingredients, though harmless to humans and the environment, are able to continue cleaning as well as chemical laden solvents.
Often it is assumed that the harsher the chemical, the more effective it is in cleaning.
This idea is quickly fading away as dozens of studies are proving the powerful cleaning effects of natural ingredients.
Organic solvents and degreasers were used in nearly every home and business establishment until coconut oil and other natural and plant based ingredients were difficult to find during World War II.
To replace these natural cleaning agents, harsh chemical based solvents were developed.
Due to the low cost of these ingredients at the present time, they are still enormously popular.
However, more people are becoming aware of the fact that cheap chemicals which emit VOC's into the air and atmosphere are proving to be more costly in the long run.
Health and environmental impacts are now evident, and with consumer interest of organic solvents quickly growing, these non toxic and eco friendly alternatives are becoming more affordable each and every day.
