Using Videos to Market Your Blog
One of the strategies that I use to promote my blog is video marketing.
Video seems like the most popular medium on the Internet nowadays and I believe that sites like YouTube contribute to its success.
Video As A Marketing Medium One way or another you must have visited YouTube and viewed the videos that are available there and you found it through search engines and social networks sites.
This is a testament to what I have said earlier about videos being a popular medium.
It can be for entertainment or it can be for information.
Videos can get those messages across and it does appeal to those who learns better visually.
I am one of those guys that learns better from what I see than what I read.
Videos You Can Create Today You may be thinking about creating your own videos for your site or blog but just don't know how to get started.
In fact, there are a few types of videos you can create.
One of them is screencasting where you show what is happening on your screen.
It doesn't have to stop there.
Other types of videos that I can think of is doing a PowerPoint presentation into a video.
Another one I can think of is a video of you giving a demonstration.
If you're good at giving a talk, you could just sit in front of the camera and talk about a topic.
Videos Are Not Limited To Screencasting I use screencasting most of the time and that is because what I teach is about computers and the Internet.
Obviously screencasting is the best choice.
Recently, I've added short presentations to the videos.
This shows that you can do more than just screencasting.
Therefore, marketing your blog is not limited to screencasting.
The same goes if your blog is not targeted to a niche where screencasting is not used at all.
Get creative as to the kind of video you can create.
Think about how you can get your message across to your visitor.
Will it be better as a screencast, PowerPoint presentation, demonstration or a video of you talking in front of the camera? Find what is best for your visitors and you and then start creating those videos.
