Styles for Frontal Balding

At any given time, around 90 percent of the hair on a male’s head is growing, while the other 10 percent is in a resting phase, where it will ultimately be shed. New hair grows back; however, as people age, the regrowth of hair slows. According to Everyday Health, 25 percent of men are bald by the age of 30, while two-thirds of men are bald or almost bald by the age of 60. - Camouflaging hair loss is far easier during the beginning stages than the latter stages. During the beginning stages, men can still wear their hair longer if desired; however, it is important to have a barber cut your hair slightly longer in the front around the balding areas, which adds excess hair. This can often help to cover up receding hairlines. The hair is then normally left to flow loose or is gelled, although it is sometimes parted in the middle.
- For balding men, especially significantly balding men, hair can be cut shorter to lessen the effects. Although it might seem counterintuitive, growing hair longer on significantly balding men usually only draws attention to the lack of hair. If your hair is cut short all over, then the hair will actually look fuller and more complete. Men often wear this hairstyle with gel to create a messy look, which can add style to short hair. By going even shorter, you can support a buzzcut, which can work well to hide thinning hair.
- If you are going bald, or are already bald, there is the option to shave your head completely, which removes all of your hair. This look will ironically hide balding by making you bald; the only difference is that people will assume you made yourself bald for a stylish look. Although only certain men can pull this look off, it can be an aggressive and stylish look that works wonders for a balding head.
