Nexus 5 has lost a bit in terms of performance that is powered by a dated Snapdragon 800 when compared to Snapdragon 801. When it is about power the One Plus is ahead with 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

The difference is specs is not that significant as both devices are doing well. Slight differences are noticed only when doing memory intensive tasks. Both devices have great power for an overall user experience.

Both devices perform well, but size can be a factor to think upon especially when it is about usability. Nexus 5 is more handy, whereas One Plus One gives a good photography experience.

When it is about availability, then of course Nexus 5 is a better choice as One Plus One is not widely available.
