    Apple iPod

    • 1). Toggle the lock switch into the on, then off position to prepare the device for Disk Mode.

    • 2). Press and hold the center click-wheel button and the top button with the menu symbol.

    • 3). Wait until the Apple logo appears on the screen, then slide the finger holding the upper button clockwise around the click-wheel to the bottom button with the play and pause symbols.

    • 4). Continue to hold the buttons until "Disk Mode Enabled" appears on the screen, then release the buttons and plug the iPod into your computer using the proprietary Apple USB cable.

    • 5). Launch a file explorer and click the device's newly created shortcut to access the storage space as a hard drive.

    Android Devices

    • 1). Plug any Android device into your computer using the device's USB cable.

    • 2). Tap and pull down the top menu bar once the USB symbol appears.

    • 3). Tap the USB symbol in the menu to open the device's USB options.

    • 4). Tap the "USB Mass Storage" option to enable USB Mass Storage mode on the device.

    • 5). Launch a file explorer and click the device's newly created shortcut to access the storage space as a hard drive.

    Sansa SanDisk Devices

    • 1). Connect the Sansa device to your computer using the device's USB cable.

    • 2). Wait for your computer to recognize the device and automatically mount the drive for you. Sansa devices are designed to do this on Apple Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and Microsoft Windows.

    • 3). Launch a file explorer window and click the device's newly created shortcut to access the storage space as a hard drive.
