Pre-Divorce Agreement
- A pre-divorce agreement usually contains the same arrangements that will be declared in the couple's final divorce papers. It is used to explain to the parties what assets they will keep, what liabilities they are responsible for and information regarding the couple's children.
- A pre-divorce agreement states both parties' names, the date they were married and that they have agreed to separate. It also names their children and dates of birth for each.
- In addition to basic information regarding the two parties, this agreement also allocates debt between the two parties, states a weekly child support payment amount and gives details about health insurance. The also specifies the division of the marital properties, including which party retains temporary possession of the residence.
