Being successful is not all about academic achievements, work experience, portfolio building or strong credentials. Scientific research proved that individual health directly correlates to the successes in one's life. Fitness contributes to one's success in the same manner that academics, experience and credentials do. Being fit through regular exercise and healthy diet amplifies the chances of being successful on more ways than any other ingredient of success.

Science and fitness experts have long established the need to insure that health practices, such as exercise, are integrated in one's everyday life. Recent studies reveal a new benefit of exercising regularly- mental development. Apart from being a good weight loss plan, exercising regularly challenges and put the body in tune for a perfect mental workout.

The concept of being in "good shape" or being fit is now being used by leadership and success consultants as one of the most effective shortcuts towards success. Fitness experts participated in scientific research to establish the relationship between movement and brain activity. As a result, individuals who move regularly show more brain activity.

A leading research that put a scientific explanation in this fitness claim cites how a selected group of regularly exercising students landed higher grades through the combination of studying and exercising. The same studies revealed how adults who are too busy to stop for an exercise session or enroll in a fitness boot camp show lessened brain activity as compared when they are obliged to exercise.

If it is already scientifically established then why are there still people who choose other things over a couple minutes of exercise?

As troubling as it may sound, at least 60% of adults are not getting enough activity to maintain their health; statistics even plots the inactive adults at 25%. This high statistics is a bad indicator of how working individuals completely abandon the value of being fit.

The prerequisite of being fit in succeeding is not exclusive to those who consider fitness as a part of their lives. It is never too late for anyone. Refusing to exercise today does not mean that all chances are lost in combining mental and physical functions in building up success. Following a healthier diet plan while running for ten minutes every day can be the start of the reborn of a successful healthy individual. The extensiveness of the fitness plan comes second to the commitment of the individual.

Finding the perfect exercise and diet combination is easy, given the fact that materials on fitness are available in different media. Starting and committing to the plan like those in fitness boot camps is the hardest part. To insure the success of a fitness plan, realignment of personal dispositions such as goal setting towards success can be of great help.

No one would say no to success. Even more, no one should stop at being successful especially when it comes in the way of being healthy. No one needs to choose, everyone can be both successful and fit.
