Lock Cracking - Just a Hobby Or a Respected Profession?

Since I can remember myself I had always been into cracking locks.
For some reason when everybody was playing sports, I was fascinated by picking locks.
It is hard to describe to someone who haven't done it before.
Every time I come and rescue someone who got locked outside his house or his car, or he forgot his suitcase lock combination - I feel like superman.
It gives me tremendous power.
They are in a position where they are powerless and there I come and in less than 1 minute I make everything perfect again.
I am their hero.
I have made a great living out of cracking locks.
I got lucky enough to do something I love and the money is amazing.
I earn more than most of my friends, some of them are hi-tech geeks with 2nd degree in computer science.
For me, lock cracking is similar to magic.
I see it as an art.
I always do tricks to my friends.
It is a great hobby, and if you are interested in it - it is very easy to learn with the right guidance.
I would recommend you start with a simple lock picking instruction guide (preferably free duhh) and see if it interests you.
I'm willing to bet it is.
It is also a real value when you lock yourself outside your own door.
After reading some content and experiencing you might want to try learning it professionally.
I learnt is by myself over the years (started with it at age 14) but some people need the guidance of an instructor, so it's important you'll know which one are you.
After you really understand how picking Locks work, it is really easy to get a ton of job.
It is always in great demand.
Only real minus for this job is you got clients that call you in the middle of the night so you have to wake up and come rescue them.
Off course you can charge them more then double for that, so to me it's a sacrifice I'm whiling to make.
