Airport travel is often stressful because of the various rules passengers must follow. These rules are in place to ensure that all passengers can board their flight safely and as quickly as possible. If you are traveling on an American Airlines flight, there are a few passenger rules you should know about. - On an American Airlines flight it is recommended that you arrive 90 minutes prior to the departure of your flight if you are checking in luggage and 60 minutes prior to departure if you are not checking in any luggage. You must also arrive at the departure gate 15 minutes prior to flight departure to retain your seat.
