Tool Life The expected life of a tool in most cases a customer wants the tool to last forever.
In reality even the best quality tool will wear out and brake when used in the extreme conditions.
This is for the contractor or the repair shops that really on their tools every day.
These people demand top quality tools and will prefer brand name tools.
That may be ether new or factory reconditioned.
The reconditioned tool goes through all of the tests that the new tool would go through at the factory.
The reconditioned tool will have less cost, close to half the new tool price with the same quality.
2.
Pricing The common do it yourself may only want to spend the least possible money for a tool that will be used only a few times.
These tools are considered disposable, are cheaply made matching the price.
A lot of these tools come from China that has one year warranty.
These tools are great for the small jobs around the house.
If you are luck and take a lot of care when using them they may last for a couple years.
Brand name tools have a higher price with high quality and greater durability.
If you're looking to have a tool for life or expect to use the tool in extreme contractor conditions and hold up, top brand names will be the best choose.
3.
Cord or Cordless Power tools with a cord are general used when higher power is needed and electric source is available.
The cordless power tools are preferred by most contractors when the job allows.
Because you do not need to drag a power cord around and the tools are normally lighter in weight.
4.
Multiple Uses Whether choosing corded or cordless tool the main feature is multiple use.
A good choose would be the multiple tool kit where there are interchangeable attachments.
I personally have two cordless power tool kits.
Buying multiple functional tool has saved me a lot a lot of money by not needing to purchasing individual specialized tools.
5.
Power When you have a heavy job, require a lot of force the corded power tool would be the better choose.
The electric motors are made for higher output power whether you're drilling, cutting or shaping.
The obviously disadvantage is being tied down to the power source.
When your job do not need to have a high degree of power, the cordless tool would be a better chose to make.
Light weight, mobile and versatile has made these tools the most popular by professional contractor.
6.
Safety Safety is priority one regardless of price, quality or brand of tool selected.
All of the safety rule pertains.
Power is a concern that nobody mentions.
When using a power tool that has a high level of force, extreme care is needed to maintain control.
Example would be the 1/2 "heavy duty drill that is used to drill steel will grab.
When the heavy duty drill grabs nobody, no matter how large will stop it.
Verity of injuries could happen from broken fingers, arms or even death.
Lesson actually happened to me where I was drilling 3/8" hole in structural steel and the bit grabbed dropping me 10 feet to the ground.
I was lucky, no damage but my pride.
