The DC Mayoral Election is coming up in the fall of 2010. To participate in the election, you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, live in the District of Columbia, and register to vote. Leo Alexander - Former Television Reporter. After years of reporting how legislation affects the daily lives of individuals, Alexander left television reporting to work in public service. He has served as Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs for DC General Hospital, Director of the Office of Public Affairs and Communications for the DC Public Housing Authority, as an active member of the Brightwood Civic Association, Chair of the public relations committee for the DC Federation of Civic Associations and executive board member of the Development Corporation of Columbia Heights.

Sulaimon Brown - Former Volunteer with Fenty's 2006 Campaign. Brown has an accounting background and worked on the CAFR (comprehensive annual financial report) audit of Washington DC. He has volunteered on several political campaigns including DC council member Michael Brown, Former DC assistant attorney General Ron Magnus and the Presidential campaign for Barack Obama.

Brown grew up in DC and graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.

Adrian Fenty - DC Mayor (2007 to present). Fenty was elected with 89% of the general election vote. Public education, government efficiency and accountability have been key issues that he has tackled during his first term. Vincent C. Gray - DC Council Chairman. (2007 to present, Council member since 2004) Gray has enjoyed a 30 year career in social services. He has served as Executive Director of the D.C. Association for Retarded Citizens, Director of the Department of Human Services, and Executive Director of Covenant House Washington. Gray is a native Washingtonian and attended undergraduate and graduate school at George Washington University.

Ernest Johnson - Owner of Johnson & Johnson Realty. Johnson is the Executive Director of Obama for America online faith based social networking group and just finished writing his first book, "Doolum the Mind of Christ - A Life Redeemed". He is a native of Washington and an alumnus of Cardozo High School and American University.
