The Prevalence of Panic Attacks in PTSD

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD is a common disorder that people get after they experienced a traumatic event in their life.
A traumatic event obviously is what is perceived by the person who has experienced it.
Another words 2 people my experienced the same event, however person #1 may not perceive it as a threat or have it leave an impactful impression in their mind and thought process.
Where is person number two will have a different perception of the event(s) and may feel that the traumatic event has deeply affected them.
What happens is that over a period of time the thought processes and the traumatic experience that the person felt is regressed to their subconscious and even conscious state of mind, only to end up haunting them in the future.
The traumatic experience itself and all these penned up regressions can significantly and deeply affect a person thought process.
It is not uncommon for people to start experiencing high anxiety or panic attacks shortly after their traumatic experience.
For many people this can continue for years and years to come.
One of the most common examples of PTSD that comes to most people's minds when they hear the term Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is from soldiers who have fought in wars.
There are millions of other people who are experiencing panic attacks or panic disorder from PTSD that are not soldiers of war.
These include sexual or mental abuse victims, victims of crashes, domestic violence, or accidents such as falls, car accidents, or other near death experiences.
There are also people who have panic attacks that do not have PTSD.
People who have experienced a traumatic event in their life are often left with a permanent psychological imprint of their experience that can become deeply rooted.
Because of this many people who suffer from PTSD and panic attacks feel as though they're trapped in their own little world and that nobody else would understand how they feel and they have no idea how to change their thought process and stop their panic attacks.
