Thinking that skipping meals will help you lose weight fast is a very common misconception.
You should know that energy is needed to burn calories so make sure that you take smaller meals instead of large ones but ensure that you do not skip meal.

Weekend off: Dieting should be done daily and there is no rest day.
You are eating healthy food so there can be no off day.
It is to be followed strictly every day.

Skipping breakfast: Just as one skip meal, skipping breakfast is very common.
This should be avoided strictly as breakfast provides your body with the energy that it needs to perform daily tasks actively.
