    • 1). Rake the lawn with a leaf rake using smooth, even passes until you have collected as many acorns as possible in a pile.

    • 2). Scoop up the acorns from the pile using a shovel, and transfer them into a trash bag. Pick up any remaining acorns from the lawn that the rake missed.

    • 3). Dispose of the bags of acorns with other yard waste, such as leaves, according to local ordinances.

    • 4). Allow wild animals, such as birds, squirrels and raccoons, to feed on any leftover acorns. Animals quickly consume acorns and control them rather well.
