    Side to Side

    • 1). Inflate all tires to the tire pressure printed on the sidewall of each tire. Park the mower on a level driveway or concrete pad and set the parking brake. Remove the ignition key. Raise the cutting deck to its uppermost setting by using the deck height adjustment lever to the right of the seat.

    • 2). Wear heavy work gloves when working with cutting blades. Reach under the cutting deck and rotate both blades so they are perpendicular with the mower. Measure the height of the outermost tip of each blade to the ground with a measuring tape. Note that if the measurements are not equal, the deck will need to be adjusted.

    • 3). Note that you can either raise the low side of the deck or lower the high side of the deck. Go to the side of the mower you wish to adjust. Locate the mower adjustment nut mounted on the frame ahead of the rear wheel.

    • 4). Turn the adjustment nut with a ¾ inch wrench in a clockwise direction to raise that side of the deck or in a counterclockwise direction to lower that side. Turn the bolt in the direction needed until the outmost tips of each blade are an equal measurement to the ground.

    Front to Rear

Reach under the cutting deck and rotate the blade closest to you so that it is inline with the mower. Measure the height of each tip of the blade to the ground with a measuring tape. Note that if the measurement at the front of the blade is not 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch lower than the rear of the blade, the deck will need to be adjusted.

    • 3). Locate the deck height adjustment screw at the front center of the mower deck. Loosen the lock nut on the screw with an adjustable wrench.

    • 4). Turn the adjustment nut located under the lock nut with a 3/4-inch wrench in a clockwise direction to raise the front of the deck or in a counterclockwise direction to lower the front of the deck.

    • 5). Tighten the lock nut on the height adjustment screw once the correct blade height has been achieved.
