Charging Instructions for a Pentax K20D
- 1). Plug the AC adaptor cord into the PENTAX D-BC50 charger. Plug the other end into an electrical socket.
- 2). Turn off your PENTAX K20D camera. Turn the camera so that the LCD monitor faces you and then turn the camera upside down with the bottom of the camera facing up.
- 3). Lift up the battery compartment cover unlock lever. Turn it to the "Open" mark and then open the cover.
- 4). Push the battery lock lever inside the compartment toward the front of the camera to unlock the battery from the camera and then turn the camera over so that the D-L150 rechargeable lithium-ion battery slides out into your hand. Set your camera aside.
- 5). Place the battery in the charger with the arrow mark on it pointing up. If done correctly, the red LED should turn on.
- 6). Wait for the LED to turn off indicating that the battery has completely charged -- typically, within 180 minutes.
- 7). Unplug the charger when the red LED turns off. Remove the battery.
- 8). Press in on the battery lock lever and return the battery to the compartment. Close the battery compartment cover. Turn the cover unlock lever to the "Close" mark to lock the cover shut.
