    • 1). Set up the speakers and subwoofer around the room. Position a left and right speaker on each side of the TV with a center speaker above or below the TV. Place the two remaining speakers behind your seating so that each speaker faces the back of the audience. The subwoofer goes on the floor anywhere in the room within connecting distance of the supplied speaker wire.

    • 2). Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the two strands on each end of the six wires supplied with your GPX system.

    • 3). Connect a speaker wire from each of the five speakers and the subwoofer to the terminals labeled for each speaker on the back of the GPX receiver. For example, the left speaker next to the TV connects to the LF (left front) terminals on the GPX receiver. With each connection the white wire connects to the left terminal and the black wire connects to the right terminal.

    • 4). Plug in a compatible video cable from the "Video Out" jack on the GPX receiver to a video input on your TV. You can use composite, S-Video or component video cables, depending on the available jacks on your TV. Electronics and stereo stores carry these different types of video cable.

    • 5). Plug in the power cords for the GPX receiver, the subwoofer and the TV.

    • 6). Slide the back cover off the GPX remote control to install two AA batteries.
