With the competition increasing more then ever, airlines are not leaving any chances to attract new customers and sustain the existing ones by offering huge discounts and promotions which are hard to resist.
Also established players like Kingfisher and Jet also found the heat of the LCC model and hence came up with Jet Konnect and Kingfisher Red.
Today airfare has become cheaper then a 1st class railway ticket between two metro cities in India.
A ticket from Delhi to Mumbai costs just Rs 2800 which earlier used to be at least Rs 6000.
This is a huge revolution that has taken place in terms of ticket pricing.
Though the low cost carriers cut costs by reducing services like onboard meals, compact seats and less attendants but who need them if you are on a budget travel and are willing to sacrifice such luxuries for just an hour in the flight, by saving threefold.
