How to Cut a Cute Toddler Bob
- 1). Place a smock over your toddler's shoulders to protect her outfit from falling hair and seat her in a chair that will raise her to a comfortable height for you.
- 2). Divide top and middle sections of hair from the bottom section with the wide-toothed comb by lifting up all the hair above the bottom layer and clipping it out of the way.
- 3). Brush the bottom layer with a fine-toothed comb to smooth it out and remove any hairs that don't belong. Use the fine-toothed comb to divide the bottom section into left and right sides.
- 4). Take small sections of hair, about 1 inch at a time, from the right side and pull it out from the rest of the hair with slight tension. Hold the section of hair between your index and middle fingers and use your other hand to cut it. Because of the tension, you will cut more than you realize, so only cut 1/2 inch if you want a 1-inch cut.
- 5). Continue until you finish the right section, then pull one section of cut hair over to the left side to compare lengths and begin cutting the left section in the same way.
- 6). Release the middle section of hair from the clips and let it fall on top of the cut hair.
- 7). Repeat the steps for cutting the bottom layer, but use the bottom layer as your guide for the length. Bobs are characterized by one single length across the entire head, so you should aim for an even cut all around.
- 8). Release the top in 1/2-inch sections at a time. Make sure it is parted the way it will be parted on a daily basis and brush to smooth it all the way down.
- 9). Cut the top to the same length as the middle and bottom sections.

Brush out hair when you are finished and make sure it is even all around. Snip pieces that look too long or are uneven.
