Measure the spa if you do not know the dimensions. If your spa is 72 inches, position the cover arms with the long end on the top side of the cover. Use the extensions only if your spa is longer than 72 inches.

    • 3). Identify the right and left mounting brackets, mounted horizontally, at the base, on the corners. Stick the pivot arm stopper into the center hole of the mounting bracket. Insert the pivot arm bolt into the only hole left on the corner of the mounting bracket.

Turn the bracket over and put the small washer on the pivot arm bolt. Put the pivot arm lock nut on the bolt on top of the washer and tighten the washer and lock nut onto the bolt with the wrench. Turn the bracket back over and put the large washer on the pivot arm bolt.

    • 5). Attach both mounting brackets to the left and right sides of the spa. Refer to the diagram to see that you are locating them correctly. Use four one-inch screws for the four outer holes and two 4-inch mounting screws for the two inner holes.

Put the spacer block on the pivot arm bolt of the mounted bracket. Referring to the diagram, slip on the side arm pivot. Mount the outer spacer block on top of the side pivot arm on the pivot arm bolt. Put a large washer on the pivot arm bolt and tighten with a locknut. Put a bolt onto the pivot arm stopper and cover with nut caps.

    • 7). Push the long end of the cover support arm into either side of the coupler. Slide the short end of the cover support arm into the top of the side pivot arm. Repeat for the other side. The cover support arm and the coupler should lie on top of the spa cover along the fold.

Pull up the coupler piece and support arms until the coupler piece is parallel and within ½ inch of the fold. Drill the holes which connect the arms and use one inch self-tapping screws to attach the support arms and coupler pieces.
