Internet Marketing Tips - You Don"t Know If You Don"t Ask

Internet marketers are a funny lot.
They think they know it all.
Oh come on, admit it.
You have all the answers, especially when you reach a point where you are starting to see some success.
Hey, I fall victim to this too at times.
Then I remember that I don't know it all and have a lot still to learn.
One of the best ways of learning is asking questions, for many reasons.
I'm going to go over a few of them here.
For starters, there is asking questions in regard to the actual knowledge you have about marketing.
Look, new marketing methods are coming out all the time.
What may have worked last year may not work this year.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to ask, for one thing, if the old methods still work and also if there is anything new on the horizon.
And make sure you get some statistical evidence either way.
You just don't want to take people's word for it.
Get proof.
Another area to ask questions is with your customers and prospects.
What do they want? Do you know? Or are you just taking guesses? The worst thing you could possibly do is create a product based on what you THINK they want and it turns out that they don't have any use for the product at all.
A simple survey asking prospects and customers what they're looking for can save you a lot of grief and a lot of lost time and money.
Finally, there is the area of what you've already done, such as your web page and current products.
Have you ever asked people what they've thought of your stuff? If not, how do you know if there isn't something you can do to improve what it is that you already have? Go to forums and ask people to look at your site.
You'll be surprised at the feedback you'll get.
Bottom line is this...
you can't work in a vacuum.
If you don't get feedback from others, there is no way you're going to know if you're going in the right direction or in no direction at all.
