    • 1). Soak a washcloth in warm water and press onto the left eyebrow for five minutes. A moist, warm compress will open up an Asian person's eyebrow hair pores and soothe skin to alleviate plucking pain.

    • 2). Place the edge of your ruler length-wise up against the side of your nose. Follow straight up the ruler where it hits your eyebrow; to the left of the ruler is where your left eyebrow should begin. To the right of the ruler is where you should pluck extraneous stray hairs.

    • 3). Pluck eyebrow hairs to the right of the ruler.

    • 4). Examine your eyebrow line. Asians have a natural shape to which their eyebrows follow. When plucking, you want to follow this natural flow to avoid unnatural eyebrows. Begin plucking your brow from the bottom of the brow, starting from the end closest to the corner of your eye, near your nose bridge. Pluck brow hairs individually following the natural curve of your brow from the corner of your eye to the end of your brow near the temple. Move up higher to the next row of eyebrow hairs and keep plucking in this eye corner to temple direction. Follow this plucking method until the eyebrow reaches the desired thinness.

    • 5). Ice your brow bone for two minutes with the ice pack to reduce inflammation and ease any discomfort, as Asian skin can show signs of redness and irritation easily.

    • 6). Open the small grooming scissor blades and position them on your eyebrow so that they are lightly grazing your eyebrow's top hairs, opened blades facing away from your nose. Asian eyebrow hairs are individually thin, so you may need to press down lightly to catch hairs in the scissors' snipping path. Slowly snip the top hair to thin out bushiness from your eyebrow eye corner's end to the temple.

    • 7). Repeat steps 1 - 6 with your right eyebrow. Make sure to match both eyebrows' thinness to prevent one eyebrow from looking different from the other. You are aiming for symmetry in thinness for both eyebrows to set your face off equally, since most Asian face shapes have spaced out features.

    • 8). Maintain your eyebrows at least twice a week by plucking in-growing stray hairs to keep the groomed shaped you have just thinned.
