Here is a look at the Advanced Picture Settings Menu. There are a lot of options in this menu that can make things confusing for the novice user. Use these options sparingly.

If you set the Colormaster option to On it takes you to a submenu where you can adjust the hue, saturation, and brightness of each base color separately: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan. Check out a photo of the Base Color Adjustment settings.

You should not attempt any changes unless you are experienced in TV set calibration.

Going back to the Advanced Picture Settings, the next option is Color Temperature. This allows you to adjust the overall Warmness or Coolness of the image (see additional photo).

Auto Brightness Sensor Settings allows you to turn the TV to self-adjust the backlight system to ambient light conditions or if you like to manually set the point at which the Auto Brightness Sensor activates.

Dynalight control, when activated, automatically makes the black areas of the image blacker, depending the content of the image using the LED backlighting system.

Dynamic Contrast automatically overrides and compensates your contrast settings, depending on changes in the displayed image.

Static Gamma allows you to manually adjust the level of black in the image using the video processing of the TV.

Noise Reduction provides a way to reduce the effects of video noise that may be present in a video source, such as television broadcast, DVD, or Blu-ray disc.

However, when using this control to reduce noise, you may find other artifacts, such as edge harshness and a "pastey" appearance on flesh may increase.

In addition, to the options shown here, two additional Advanced Picture Settings are available, Resolution+ and ClearFrame 120.

Resolution+ fine tunes the upscaling capability of the TV. This effect of this adjustment is subtle.

ClearFrame activates the 120Hz screen refresh rate. When ClearFrame is set to "off" the TV employs a 60Hz screen refresh rate.

Film Stabilization helps to eliminate frame shaking issues.

Expert Mode allows for more precise individual adjustment of Red, Green, and Blue.

Reset If you made a mistake, or don't like your settings, you can reset them to the original factory default settings.
