Move over Gangnam Style, Thrift Shop, and the Harlem Shake, there's a new crazy viral song and video on the web! "The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)" is the quirky hit song by two Norwegian brothers known as Ylvis, and ever since the intensely strange video was posted on September 3, 2013, it has gone viral in the truest sense of the word. I think we can all agree that Kerry Washington totally rocked as the host of the November 2nd episode of Saturday Night Live. Among the many funny and noteworthy roles Washington portrayed, including Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama, the one sketch that has made real waves on the internet has to be her spot-on performance in their spoof of "What Does The Fox Say?"
In this video, we see a man, played by cast member Jay Pharoah, whose girlfriend, played by Washington, catches him texting with another woman. What does Jay's girl say? Watch and find out.
Washington absolutely nails both the singing and the sass, using a very believable New York accent to sing lines such as, "He thinks he's so smart/he tried to lock his phone/but he forgot about the Cloud/and his cloud is full of butts."More »
Sure, Derek Klingenberg is an actual farmer, but when he's not milking cows, making hay, and doing whatever else farmers do to put food in our bellies, he's also making funny pop song parodies. Talk about a Renaissance Man!
Kingenberg uploaded his version of the fox song to his YouTube channel on October 29th, and within six days the video had been viewed over five hundred thousand times. Not bad!More »
Annoying Orange is no stranger to the viral video circuit. In fact, the video that started the creepily funny trend of adding eyes and mouths to fruit was started right here on YouTube, and that original "Annoying Orange" video is still one of the 10 Most Popular YouTube Humor Clips of All Time. What started as a web comedy series created by former MTV production assistant Dane Boedigheimer has now become a television show, a video game, a range of toys, and a t-shirt line.
Now, everyone's favorite irritating citrus fruit has made its own version of the fox song, this time asking "What Does The Sock Say?" As for why there's a sock in the video, and why a sock would ever speak, we can't be sure, but this spoof is still pretty cute. More »
"Dog goes woof, Cat goes meow, Bird goes tweet and mouse goes squeak
Cow goes moo, Frog goes croak and the elephant goes toot
Ducks say quack and fish go blub and the seal goes ow ow ow ow ow
But there's one sound that no one knows...What does the fox say?
