• Michigan RVers sometimes choose to stay for an entire season at a favorite campground. Some RV parks and campgrounds in the state offer year-round RV parking for their seasonal guests. This convenience is also an incentive for campers to return the following year. Not all Michigan campgrounds that allow seasonal RV camping are open throughout the entire year. Mio Pines Acres Campground

• Mio Pines Acres Campground, in the town of Mio, is within the Huron National Forest in Michigan's eastern Lower Peninsula. The campground offers pull-through sites for large RVs, and yearly rates for those who want to keep their rig parked year-round. The yearly rate allows for unlimited camping and metered electrical service. Mio Pines Acres features a dump station, water and electric hookups, modern restrooms and showers, onsite picnic tables and fire pits, mini-golf, laundry facilities, rental bikes and horseshoe pits. A camp store provides LP gas, RV supplies, food, clothing, ice and firewood. Mio Pines Acres Campground is open year-round, and welcomes winter RV campers for activities like snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Campsites on the seven-acre campground are shaded or partially shaded.

Whispering Oaks Campground and Cabins

• Whispering Oaks Campground and Cabins is in Baldwin, just north of the Manistee National Forest in Michigan's western Lower Peninsula. Seasonal campsites are available, and RVs can be stored at the campground year-round. Seasonal campers can vacation at Whispering Oaks any time the campground is open. Whispering Oaks is closed during the winter, and water hookups to RVs are shut off when temperatures dip below freezing. Site amenities include water and electrical hookups, cable TV hookups, a fire pit and picnic table. The campground features a sanitation station for RV water and sewer removal, modern restrooms, a fish cleaning station and outdoor recreation areas.

Hideaway Campground and Resort

• Hideaway Campground and Resort, in Mears, is near Lake Michigan on Michigan's west coast. The campground offers seasonal camping that includes winter RV storage. Seasonal rates include two adults plus children. Seasonal campsites include picnic tables and fire rings, metered electrical hookups, water hookups, basic cable, weekly pump-out service, access to campground facilities and events and unlimited camping. Hideaway Campground is open from May 1 to October 1, and features a swimming pool, laundry facilities, modern restrooms, a playground, game room and camp store. The camping resort is near the Silver Lake Dunes area, Lake Michigan beaches and lighthouses.
