User Review of Build My Rank
I'm almost certainly not alone in believing that £300 per month quite a bit of money to pay for SEO services whenever i am perfectly capable of undertaking the work myself. And indeed, I did choose to do my own SEO work, both to gain control and also save money. Needless to say this brings with it some new difficulties. Exactly how do you optimise your site content? And perhaps more crucially, how and where to generate back links? In the following paragraphs I'm going to provide a brief review on a product I've recently been using to build links, called 'Build My Rank'. I will try to provide as honest a review as I can.
So how exactly does BMR work?
With BMR you essentially pay a monthly subscription of around $60. For this you will get usage of their network of high quality blog sites, and may write as many posts as you want, The only thing you have to ensure is that each article is a minimum of 150 words. Beyond that you could include 1 link per every 150 words of content. You must also ensure that this content is completely original as well, otherwise it will be rejected. Once BMR approves your link it goes live, and then it's generally indexed very rapidly. The whole system and process is simple.
The Negatives
So, what are the negative elements of Build My Rank? In the first instance it does come at a cost. It costs approximately $60 monthly, which for me (as a Brit) is roughly £40 a month. So it's not exactly the cheapest product on the market. The other downside is that you have to put some effort into BMR for it to work. That's right, you can't just strike a button, put your feet up and sip on a pina colada! Each link requires you to write a post of at least 150 words, and it has to be original content. If you attempt to use existing content published elsewhere on the net it will be rejected. So, if you're a little on the lazy side this isn't the product for you. That said, you can of course contract out the writing to other people if this isn't your strong point.
The Positives
Now let's take a look at the positives. The fact that BMR insists on original content ensures that the quality of their network is excellent, and this safeguards the quality of the links that you are receiving. This is incredibly important, particularly in the 'post-Panda' world. I have found the links generated by Build My Rank to be of a high quality. To give you an illustration of the effectiveness of this tool, I recently managed to get my ranking for the term 'London Wedding Photographers' from the bottom of page 2 for Google, to position 5 of the top page. 90% of the links for this term I developed through Build My Rank, so it shows how powerful the tool can be, if utilized correctly.
I additionally like the fact that BMR automatically 'bookmark' your articles to make sure that Google indexes them. Indeed, there is almost no point in going to the effort of creating backlinks if the search engines don't find them! Finally, BMR also offers customers the option of a free trial period, during which they can gain 10 free links, to see if the tool is right for them. In the earlier part of this article I pointed out that this may not be the most suitable product for everybody, so it's great that it is being offered on a free trial basis.
Summary
I'll be honest with you. I've had some very nice results with BMR so it's quite difficult for me to be totally unbiased. I'd point out that it's not the product for those that are searching for an easy solution that doesn't involve any leg work. That said, with a bit of work the final results you can get with BMR are great. I would say, however, that you need to make certain you don't create links exclusively with this tool. It's an absolutely essential concept with SEO that you gain links from a diverse range of sources, and not simply from 1 source, which will appear unnatural.
